This is an easy find in a history park maintained by our wonderful local senior citizens group in the city park area. RECENTLY REACTIVATED 11.22.2017 BY OWNER.
You can really learn some of our history here... ...the old Wiggins Cabin is an accurate reconstruction of the original which burned down several years ago, after being moved from the original site to this park. A nearby barn, shed, a sorghum molasses mill, and other structures make it a wonderful open air museum. On a weekend in October the site bustles with craft artists, lively music, and delicious barbecue, funnel cakes, ice cream and other good stuff to eat! The OLD GRAY COMPANY HOUSE house gives a peek to the past lives of early sawmill and Crossett Company working families. The cache is an ammo box and easily accessible and in reach. Place it back squarely in its place please, and if you take something replace it. Beware of muggles (and spiders) as this is a popular area...avoid looking for this cache during a festival, group reunion in the pavilion, or a game at the nearby E.C. Crossett baseball field. Original contents include gardening gloves, sponge ball, rubber frog (cousin to those in the nearby pond), flashlight, a Barbie towel, toy snake (another park cousin perhaps), beverage scootchie, stickers, and a heart-shaped carabiner (you'll love our park). Please sign the green log book in the cache for us too. We check on it frequently. Safari Mickey may or may not be there when you visit this cache (see travelbug listing). Enjoy our town on your visit and our zoo and park, with the other many caches nearby. Great ballgames nextdoor during baseball season.
