Geocache Description:

Ode to Nei-Geo Cache can NOT be reached from the highway.

4 years ago I attended my first event at the nearby food source. It had a different name at the time, but, same food. I didn't know anyone, and had a bit of fear of walking in. I was instantly greeted by warm souls, and...some not so warm...hehe. Regardless, I INSTANTLY made some amazing friends. People I consider some of my best friends to this day. Though the events aren't monthly anymore, we do return here once a year to honor the old tradition. I have since left the area, but still make the pilgramage myself, only to see my friends. After each of these events, we gather together to cache. This year, we had a few "new to the group" cachers with us, but they fit right in. My favorite memories of caching come from these runs.

So, in true "Returning to Our Roots" tradition, we couldn't leave the area without giving a little something back. For all that Auburn and it's cachers have done for us, we present you with Returning to Our Roots 2. Enjoy. Please feel free to include your most favorite caching memory in your log. We love to hear those stories. UPDATE: It is now 3 years later, and I am happy to say that these people are still in each others lives. This "hobby, sport, addiction" has given us all a gift that could never have been expected. Our friends are now our "framily". We shared incredibly good times, incredibly difficult times, but we've done it together. The people in this group mean more to each other than words could ever explain. Here is to hoping for MANY more years!
