Geocache Description:

In memory of my cousin. Please bring a pen or pencil. Please bring a trinket to add to the cache as you will probably want to swap a trinket from the cache when you find it.

I recently updated the cache by making a new container for it. Thank you to those who told me the old container had needed to be replaced.

E.C.S. Jr aka Teddy was my cousin, and he introduced me to Geocaching three years ago. I always meant to try it for myself, but I didn't get around to it until last summer... Teddy passed away suddenly from sleep apnea at the age of 33 in June of 2013. After a few months I thought about how special it would be if I could create a cache in his name. Over the past year many people have enjoyed finding it, and I am excited that some of these cachers have asked to hear more about Teddy! Here is a bit about him. One of his favorite things about Geocaching was the excitement of trackables. He would always grab them when available and spend time seeing where they had been. He would always move them to cool new locations. Teddy would take his wife and three children around all day telling the kids they were looking for 'treasure' and he was always so excited to share what he had found with the them. And of course, in true Teddy fashion, when a cache was damaged he often went out if his way to repair it to the best of his abilities as well as let the cache owner know what had or needed to be done. In addition, Teddy was an avid car enthusiast, believed in and performed random acts of kindness, cheered for Philadelphia sports teams and was a technological master-mind who loved to fix and tinker with computers. Teddy loved good conversation, games, fishing, and above all, his family.

This cache was made to be easy to find so that families like Teddy's can go out together and find a great cache. I want you to find this and enjoy the thrill of the game. Teddy also loved 'take one, leave one' trinket trades for Geocaches, and this is one such cache, so have fun with that. It is located near ample parking and food.
