Located near what used to be the Moscow & Waterside Community Woodland in the village of Moscow, East Ayrshire. From Galston take the A719 to Moscow, turn right into Hemphill Road and park, a large passing place is available nearer the GZ just past the 30Mph signs. Walk uphill to find the cache and enjoy the views over your shoulder.
Unfortunately the landowner has destroyed the forest leaving only a green field, apparently because the EU funding finished to " preserve the local wildlife for future generations".
However, for continuity I have moved the cache to a location on common land, to preserve the "Moscow walk" where folks can pickup 3 good caches on a nice walk
Views from the Heads of Ayr to the south panning past Arran and the Holy Isle to Ardrossan and Saltcoats by the Wind Farm to the North West. The forest unfortunately is no more thanks to the cutting of EU funding to the landowner, the forest was promptly destroyed. Many wild birds can still be viewed on this walk with an abundance of birds of prey such as Kestrel, Buzzard and sparrow Hawk. The ghostly songs of Owls and bats abound by night. Roe deer and foxes are often seen especially in the nearby fields
