Nice and easy cache on the "Big River Trail" of the North Lakeland Discovery Center.
Park at the State House Lake Trail parking area off Tower Road. This area is part of a 63 acre site with 20 km trail system winding through the woods, along the lake, bogs and nearby Manitowish river. Visit the Learning Center ( location #1 on the trail map) off county road W north of Tower road. The cache is a camoed "Lock Lock" box. The beginning contents include a log book, geocaching key ring, pet rock, wooden nickel, 2 sets of AA batteries, fridge magnet, and dream catcher. For the First To Find, look in the log book. The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Steve Peterson of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager.
