Please come join us for a Geocaching picnic in lovely San Mateo Central Park on Saturday, October 4, 2003 from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.
We'll handle the barbeque cooking, and we'll provide the condiments. Everything else is up to y'all. Rain or shine -- come out so we can all meet, have fun, and enjoy this beautiful park!

Games and Caches -- We'll have some geocaching games with some temporary caches in the park. There's not much room for another permanent cache as Marky and Joani already have three in this park!
Park activities -- This park is great for kids, dogs (on a leash), bikes, walks, and sports. There's a large grass area nearby, as well as a large sand playground. Please bring any sorts of lawn games you like
- frisbees, soccer balls, badminton, croquet, etc.
Bring an item for the commemorative cache -- We'd like to have you bring something (not too large) to put into a special cache to be hidden somewhere after the event, to commemorate the picnic.
Parking -- There is parking on the street around the park. There is also a parking garage underneath the tennis courts, located at N 37° 33.748 - W 122° 19.391 (cost - 25 cents for each 2 hours, quarters only, all-day parking is ok).

If your last name starts with the letters...
- A-F: bring a main dish (i.e., meats for BBQ... burgers, hot dogs, sausages, veggie burgers, chicken)
- G-L : bring a snack (i.e., chips & dip, veggies, fruits, breads)
- M-Q: bring a salad or side dish (i.e.,
green, pasta, potato, macaroni, fruit)
- R-Z
: bring a dessert (self explanatory)
- Everyone: Bring some drinks for yourself. Alcohol is not permitted.
