Wilson House Travel Bug Inn Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

CKnMiss24: I'm sad to say this cache is no more!!! The owners of the building have sold out and we no longer have permission to place the cache there. This cache has been a lot of fun!! It was the perfect travel bug hotel. So after 18 years and 497 Favorite points, I say good bye to the Wilson House Travel Bug Inn. {I wasn't notified of the sale until after the cache was disposed of, so anything that was in it is gone - - sorry for any missing TBs}

Geocache Description:

The cache container is approximately 2 feet by 2 feet.
It is a home-made, small-scale log cabin…
Keeping in the spirit of what has been dubbed,
“The Best Kept Secret on the Mississippi Gulf Coast”

The Wilson House Inn is a circa 1923 log home, originally built by Joel Pinson Wilson, north of Gulfport, Mississippi, in a community now known as Orange Grove. The Wilsons are remembered for the acres of orange orchards they planted; thus giving the community its name. The Wilson House was moved to its current location in 1994 and was altered slightly to offer modern conveniences and is currently a peaceful get-away Bed and Breakfast. The Wilson House innkeepers wanted me
to extend their welcome to Geocachers.
They were extremely receptive to this cache and helped tremendously
with the details of the final cache container and its location!

Many thanks to The Wilson House Inn!!!

(The innkeepers are fully aware of the nature of this sport and understand what to expect from geocachers looking for this cache!)

Please log your bugs on the manual log in the cache. Because of the nature of this cache, long-distance travelers visiting may not be able to log their drops or pick-ups of TBs in a timely manner. Some Travel Bugs are being dropped and picked up before they are logged on-line. Thus making it hard for TB owners to track their bugs. If they are logged in the books we can look for travel bugs that haven't been heard from in a while! Thanks!!!

Special note to I-10 travelers!!! I chose this location for a TB Inn mainly because it is an easy stop off the interstate. It is no further off the exit than most gas stations in which one would stop.
