Ku Ru Ri Jo is not a code. It's a place that I hide this Cache.
Kuruji-jo castle, well-known as the famous site of a castle in the Kazusa area at the southern part of Chiba, enhanced its reputation in the 16th Century.
The national forests surrounding the park are blessed with a rich natural environment, and here we can see many of the remains that teach us about the characteristics of the castle.
Cache is located near the three stories of the Tenshu-kaku the castle tower, which was re-built in 1978 (actually, this Tenshu-kaku is not re-built completely the same as it was).
Also, you could enjoy your staying at the Museum near Tenshu-kaku, opened in 1978. Here at the Museum, they have many materials and data about the Kururi-jo castle and about the History of this area, through ther permanent exhibition titled "Visiting our hometown history and nature".

久留里城は戦国時代には房州里見氏の本城として名声を高め、現在も上総地方の名城として知られています。
周辺の国有林には、山城としての遺構がよく残されており、極めて恵まれた自然環境の中にあります。
キャッシュは、昭和54年に久留里城に再建された３階建ての天守閣の近くに隠されています。
また、天守閣近くには久留里城址資料館があり、「ふるさとの歴史と自然を訪ねて」をメインテーマとして、久留里城に関する資料をはじめ、地域の歴史関係資料を中心に展示されています。
