Congratulations to Arvintiler on a Great FTF!!

Once upon a time, As we all know there was a girl named Cinderella, and we have all heard her story. Well, part of it anyway. The part we haven’t heard is the one about her favorite place to hide from the wicked Stepmother and Stepsisters. Cinderella would sneak off whenever she could and meet up with all of her tiny animal friends in this beautiful little canyon. In English the name of this canyon means “Fresh Water”. The canyon was full of life. There were trees, flowers and woodland creatures everywhere you looked. Cinderella and her friends were very at home in this green paradise until one day the wicked Stepmother and Stepsisters followed her to her hiding spot. The Evil Trio watched Cinderella and her little animal friends frolic in the little paradise and became mad and envious of all the beauty and happiness there. The Evil Trio prowled around and found a make-believe princess carriage that Cinderella and her friends were secretly building from branches and scraps they picked up in the paradise. The Evil Trio could stand no more, they decided to start a fire and burn everything. The fire roared through the canyon and burnt everything in sight. Cinderella and her friends barely made it out alive !. The paradise was reduced to ash in minutes. The only thing left is a skeleton of the princess carriage and Cinderella’s small treasure box that she hid before her escape from the flames. Cinderella’s paradise, even though charred and black still today, holds a special beauty. The flowers and trees are starting to burst their green shoots through the blackened floor of the canyon. The paradise will be beautiful again very soon, which is more than we can ever say for the Wicked Stepmother and sisters.

The moral of this story is: True Beauty , whether on the inside or outside will always be there, and the harder evil people try to destroy it will only make it stronger and more beautiful. A real treasure awaits the FTF.Please .Please, Please put the cache back as you found it. Thank You !! Have fun... PS. just take the lid off, don't try to get the whole cache out.

Out on a campout weekend in Acton with Tall Boyz and couldn't resist the temptation to pick up a few caches. Unfortunately, the vegetation is WAY overgrown and we couldn't even get close. Will try some other time.

First cache of the day with LeslieB. Crossed a couple of little gullies that could be really nasty to see when the vegetation is in full bloom. Leslie made the find after we reached GZ. Nice camo job!

Sprinkles and I made our way out to the cache, but couldn't see any sensible trail in, so we planned to take the EASIEST way possible, unfortunately there is LOTS and LOTS of Poison Sumac in the area..we decided we will have to try another time, with more time.

The area was covered in lady bugs. Our little ones loved it. However, vegetation is growing back with a frenzy. Had difficulty winding our way to the cache because of all the thistle. Everyone in our group waited while I climbed it alone and brought it back down. Hint was spot on. TFTC

We stopped to garb this one on our way back home after a successful day of caching at Vasquez Rocks Park. Thanks for the hide.
