The Sinclair Arboretum. This place is privately owned and is open to the
public. Years ago Mr. Sinclair, found he could graft evergreen trees, and so
he did! Look closely at the trees, some of them look like they came right out
of a Dr. Seuss book. He has since died and unfortunately, the local kids or
adults, do not hold this place with much regard, some trees that I
remember, are gone or vandalized and there are trash piles here and there,
so I have included some trash bags to help out, I took one full bag with me
and there is still some to pick up. Trash aside, very few people come here
anymore, so, if you want a secluded place to hang out, this is it!!
To get there, you get on 41st. Ave. , from Vancouver it’s Fruit Valley Rd.,
and from Ridgefield you’ll turn on S. 9th Ave.,( towards the high school )
both turn into 41st. eventually. The sign on 41st. is gone now (the reason for
seclusion) so, you turn on 188th St.(winding dead end) and follow your GPS.
You’ll see the sign. It will be a walk in the park, until, you get there. then
there is a bit of terrain to deal with. I placed this stash, to be an easy
two-fer. It’s only a few miles from my “CARTY” stash. You should be able to
get both, in a couple of hours. Dogs are OK here, if on leash. Happy hunting.
