Chrebet: I just went and checked on this cache and instead of finding it I found a Colt 45 bottle instead. There is not much coverage anymore so I am archiving this cache to open up the area. Hopefully I will have some free time soon to find another location in this park for a replacement.

Geocache Description:

Cache is camouflaged rubbermaid container and located in Silver Lake Park in Baldwin. Some bushwhacking involved.

The cache is named for my favorite NHL team - The NY Islanders. In 1995 the Islanders foolishly decided to you a fisherman on their logo, which always reminded me of the Gorton’s Fisherman. Luckily they smartened up and changed the logo. The Islanders play at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The cache is very close to the Baldwin Veteran’s Memorial Plaza; please take a look at the monuments before or after searching for the cache.

The park has parking at the following coordinates N 40 38.820 W 073 36.991. Parking is not allowed at these coordinates from 8pm to 6am. There is parking on side streets during these hours, including Hillside Court where I parked.

Cache was changed to a camouflaged Lock N Lock (same size).

Please return cache were you found it. Twice I've checked on it an twice it was put in the wrong place and it seems to be getting replaced farther and farther from GZ.
