Geocache Description:

If you do not enjoy off trail and orienteering, hide this on your list.

After a frustrating day of caching in the area, I decided to take it out on this peak. I started from a nice cache near a train wreck and set the GPS for the nearest peak. I had crossed the gap near this peak many of times on my trips, and decided to name the peak from the gap. I do not recommend this is adverse weather as the amount of blow down that had to be crossed meant that this peak is exposed to severe winds and the trees don't fair well. However you start your approach do it with caution. I will worn you that if you start from the gap there was a nasty patch of "the club" as that is the way I came down. I think my approach up from the train wreck was probably the easiest negotiation of the 2 ways I took, but since its orienteering, you be the judge of your path. I wasn't sure what I would find up here, hoping for a view, but there was not so the only reason to do this cache is for the addition to your total and to now sign the summit log that I put there in the form of a cache. It is in the highest point I could find on the peak nestled inside a stump, a little more than ankle high.

What can I say, I had a feeling it would be Runhills and his band of merry men to make the FTF. Congrats one who finds joy in fastly traversing lands of grade and platinum stars to the whole crew for doing something I wouldn't attempt at night. There are some impressive blowdowns on that route.
