Geocache Description:

This used to be the first stage in the now archived Light of Life series.

You can drive up to near the cache if you don't mind the bumpy road or you can walk over the bridge from Frodsham. Nice views over the water to what used to be part of ICI and is now part of Ineos. This is the only place in the UK that makes chlorine which is a vital ingredient in keeping our water safe to drink and in many household objects such as those made from PVC. In the same process, caustic soda is produced, which is another basic chemical used in the production of many things such as soap and paper.
