Poderiamos dizer que seria um lugar ainda intocado pelo homem, se esta descrição fosse feita a uns bons anos atrás. Quando aqui vinha com alguma regularidade, nos quentes dias de Verão. Pretexto de trabalhos de grupo em casa de amigos em Maceira, faziam com que muito pessoal da minha turma viesse nadar nestas aguas límpidas e frescas. Na altura não haviam piscinas e a praia ainda era longe – para quem não tinha carro!

Many things could be said that would be a place untouched by man, that the description was made quite a few years ago. When I came here with some regularity, in the hot days of summer. Pretext of group works in a friend's house in Maceira, made that lots of people from my class came to swim in these clean and freshy waters. At the time there were no swimming pools and the beach was still far away - for those who had no car!

Conheço a zona há mais de 15 anos e não mais aqui voltei após o termino do meu 9º de escolaridade. Apesar de em encontros com velhos amigos, recordarmos sempre com saudade esses tempos.
I know the area for over 15 years and didn’t come back here since the end of my 9th year of schooling. Although in meetings with old friends, this subject was always remembered with reminiscence.
Apesar de todos os maus-tratos causados pelas industrias em volta, a paisagem ainda preserva algumas das caracteristicas naturais, como as pedras de forma invulgar no topo do monte a norte, toda a fauna e flora envolvente ou o lago natural formado pela fantástica cascata de 10/15 metros junto ao GZ.
Quem conhece a zona do Gerês, facilmente poderá encontrar similitudes aqui.
Despite all the abuse caused by industries around, the landscape still preserves some of the natural features, like the stones of unusual shape at the top of the hill to the north, all the surrounding flora and fauna or the natural lake formed by the great waterfall 10/15 meters high near the GZ.
Those who know the area around Gerês, in Braga, can easily find similarities here.
Após todo este tempo desafiei o meu pai para me ajudar a colocar esta cache. Enquanto procuravamos o local mais indicado, aproveitei para lhe contar uma escorregadela que a muitos anos aqui tive e cai dentro de agua completamente vestido. Tive de retirar as calças e deixá-las a secar ao sol, em cima de uma pedra, dado que à tarde ainda teria de voltar as aulas. Obviamente que nem a meio da história ia, já tinha agua até a cintura novamente!
After all this time I challenged my father to help me get this cache. While searching for the right place, I thought that was a good time to tell him about a slip I had here many years ago and falled into the water fully clothed. I had to remove my pants and let them dry in the sun, upon a stone. Long story short, I fell back into the river again, even before I had time to end my story!
O acesso ao local não é fácil – tal como esta agora é necessário ir pelo próprio rio, e isso só se consegue quando o mesmo tem pouca água e podemos saltar de pedra em pedra . Mas para aqueles com espírito de aventura, garanto que vai valer a pena.
The access to the site is not easy - as it is now necessary to go by the river, and this can only be achieved when it has little water and we can jump from rock to rock. But for those with a spirit of adventure, I guarantee it will be worth it.

A cache é um tupperware regular, contendo um logbook, 2 lápis, vários objectos para troca e um geocoin para o FTF.

Para chegar à cache todo o cuidado é necessário. Não o faça de noite, pelo menos sem equipamento de segurança como cordas e capacetes. Não se fie nas rochas que mesmo aparentemente secas podem tornar-se escorregadias. Cuidado com alguns troncos dado que estão muito secos e poderão partir com facilidade.
To get to the cache every care is needed. Do not do it overnight, at least without safety equipment such as ropes and helmets. Do not rely on the rocks that seem dry but may become slippery. Beware of some branches as they are very dry and may break easily.
