Geocache Description:

This is the first cache hidden by the Fishponds Woodcraft Folk Group. Woodcraft is a group of children, young adults and their families that meet to enjoy fun activities together.

We have chosen this location as it is close to where we meet. It can be a little busy at times so stealth will be required to avoid being muggled. We have enjoyed exploring the surrounding area and hope that you do too!

The cache is hidden in the grounds of All Saints Church, Fishponds. The church itself was built on land donated by Miss Castle and the build was completed in 1909. The church is built in the 14th Century (or Decorated Style) designed by Lingen Barker and built by Clarke and Son, of Fishponds, in red brick and pennant stone, with a slate roof.

The church hall in which we meet in is a hub for a number of local groups including the Over 60's Luncheon Club, Tiny Tots and Punjabi lessons. We have enjoyed exploring the outdoor area and have already had fun star gazing and learning about metal detecting.

The cache itself is a regular cache that will hold TBs and Geocoins. The exact location was chosen by the children themselves with a number of the adult suggestions being dismissed as dens or climbing trees

It is easily accessible with parking available either on the road or the lane beside the church.
