Geocache Description:

Come dance over the rocks just like Mason & Dixon

The cache will take you to an original marker left by astronomer Charles Mason and surveyor Jeremiah Dixon. The pile of rocks you'll see was placed by them, the obelisk was a later edition placed in 1902. This was just one of many rockpiles or crownstones placed while they did their surverying job to settle the dispute between Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Cache is located NEAR but not on the rockpile. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL. Parking is located in the lot for the Dixie Motel on RT 40. You don't have to stay there to see the marker. There is a snack shop there if you get hungry and gas pumps. I always get something from them (helping out the little man is a good thing). The marker is NOT on hotel property and neither is the cache.

Have fun and check out Brown's Hill Cache-GCMVX4 to see where the team was turned back due to Indian attacks.
