Grab your picnic basket and your
GPS and head out to Birch Bay for a day of nonstop fun
playing Beach Blanket Bingo!
What's
happening?
- 9:30 - 10:00: Arrive and stake out a picnic table or a
spot for your beach blanket for your group -- look for the WSGA
banner. Pick up your geo-bingo card and instructions on how to
play.
- 10:00 - 12:30: Head out for a tour of nearby Birch Bay,
where you'll find some event-day caches containing geo-tokens -- be
sure to take a token from each cache in order to complete your
bingo card.
- 12:30 - 2:00: Return back to our headquarters at the
beach for a picnic potluck lunch. We will furnish hot dogs and pop,
plates and napkins. Please bring a potluck item to share -- side
dish, dessert, chips, etc. to round out the meal.
- 1:30 - 2:00: Everyone that completes their geo-bingo
card within the allotted time will be entered into the grand prize
drawing! Prizes include copies of the original Beach Blanket Bingo
on DVD starring Annette Funicello and Frankie Avalon, cache
containers, geocoins and other fun swag!
- Bonus points awarded for wearing or bringing retro beach items
-- bring that funky old beach chair, swimsuit, cooler, or sun hat!

Please post a "will attend" note if you plan to attend, and also
indicate the size of your group. We want to make sure that everyone
gets a hot dog! Check back for updates to the cache page as the
date gets closer.
This event is free and all are invited -- families, new geocachers,
out of town vacationers, and well-behaved dogs are welcome to
attend!
If you are available to help with setup tasks, clean up
afterwards, or other event day chores, please indicate in your log
or send an email to the event hostess,
Scooter the Wonder Dog
