Geocache Description:

Beautiful Charlton Lake will surprise the first-time visitor to this geo-cache!

A smaller rubbermaid container is hidden at this cache located at one of my favorite primitive camping sites in Oregon. There are a few camping spots very close to beautiful Charlton Lake - all must be hiked into via a short trail of about 300 yards.

The cache location is a perfect spot for viewing a sunrise over an untouched mountain lake high in the Oregon Cascades (at about 5,800 feet). Whether or not you find the cache, you will be rewarded with a beautiful romantic location, perfect for a remote family campout or a starting point for a day of mountain biking, fishing or hiking.

Good luck, enjoy and please leave the area as magical as you found it!
