WELCOME to the
4th Annual Cache Slash Fest Event!
SATURDAY
OCTOBER 18th, 2008
This annual
event is located in Sumner,
Illinois and is being hosted by
The Cache Slash Crew. We would like to welcome Geocachers from all
over to Cache Slash Fest 2008. This years event is
Haunted Survivor Themed. We
will be having assorted activities with prizes, giveaways, and a
Survivor Challenge with a grand
prize. Again this year we hope to have several donations from area
businesses. We hope to have something for all attendees. There will
be several permanent caches in the area that will be activated the
day of the event and will be loggable.
We will
have a HOG ROAST with
BBQ ribs and
BBQ chicken which will be
cooked up by the infamous ZBQ. When you do BBQ, you got to
have ZBQ. Ice tea, coffee, hot chocolate and chips will also
be provided. Bring a covered dish, drinks of your choice, and
lawn chairs. Bring your kids too because we will have ours and
there will be stuff for them to do.
The start time of this event is
11 am and we plan to eat around 4 pm with prize
drawings, sight seeing and enjoying each others company until
late into the night. I think we wrapped last years up around
11 pm. Come and meet with fellow cachers and check out why the
stretch of road between Wolf Pack 359 and The King of
Halloween's house is by far the scariest in the county and
possibly all of Southern Illinois. Decorations provided by

We would like to know if you plan to attend as soon as you know so
that we can have a head count to help with planning. Every year we
seem to get bigger and last year we had over 130 attendees and
would like to beat that. We also had attendees from several states
and are always thrilled to add more states to the list. Since we
seem to be getting bigger every year we have welcomed into
THE CREW a few new members
to help us out. Welcome ZBQ, Mrs. ZBQ,
X-Ray Girl and LCAS-271.
