Geocache Description:

Millrock Schoolhouse

This schoolhouse was built in 1869 by the township of Millrock. In 1872 the railroad came through about a half a mile north of town which moved the local business center to a new town called Freemont (now Baldwin). By the 1890’s only the schoolhouse remained in Millrock. The school closed in 1916 and was used as a community center until the 1960’s

There is a sign board located on the property providing a more detailed history.

Please DO NOT attempt this cache if you see any tours being conducted at the school.
