Geocache Description:

an easy cache with fun activities!

please observe the landowner's requests about parking. if there is more than one car already at the parking place, the landowner prefers that you walk up from route 2. there are more apparent parking places than three or four, but the landowner has been getting complaints from the neighbors.

this land was purchased specifically to provide recreational access and is open to the public. it's best not to interfere with the primary recreational activity here. additionally, if there are already cars parked here your chances of being able to retrieve and replace the cache unobserved are very slim. this is a high-traffic area on weekends and afternoons.

now here's the tricky part, so PAY ATTENTION.

every finder gets to ADD A RULE that subsequent finders must follow in order to claim this as found. the rule must be legal, possible, and enforceable. because the cache may have been visited since the last time the cache page was updated, every finder MUST post his new rule here in the cache. a separate sheet is provided for this.in the event that your new rule is unacceptable for any reason to me, we can settle on a replacement later and i’ll adjust the rule sheet accordingly.if your new rule requires any special equipment, you must make it available in or near the cache so subsequent finders can use it.for obvious reasons, it is better to find the cache sooner rather than later.if you fail to meet any of the requirements of this cache, your online entry will be deleted.

what was i thinking?this cache is inspired by a children's book and a summer camp game. in the summer camp game (stupid rules day) we made up a bunch of stupid rules and everybody had to try to follow them, except we didn’t tell the campers what the rules were. they had to guess from our examples and by their scores.

in the book (Wigwig and Homer by Philip Turner, World Publishing, 1969), Bartholomew asks Wigwig:“Do you wish to add to the law? For that is your right on the day of your crowning”...“...I should like to add”, she said, looking around the circle...” There shall be no bacon, For it is Sanctuary.’”
