This one room school house is from 1866 and was used as a school and office well through the mid1900s. It was added to the National Historic Register in 1973. Next door is the Willingboro Municipal Complex. When Levitt and Sons began building, the original Municipal Building was on this location in a converted school building. In 1964, a raging fire destroy the building. Over the next 3 years, a new complex was built on the same site for township offices, the police, the courts, meeting rooms and a library. During the rebuilding, Levitt offered the township the use of two houses for temporary quarters for the township and police. The library was moved to an unoccupied store at the Willingboro Plaza.** Across the street and adjacent to the post office parking lot stands Abraham Levitt Middle School. Prior to Levitt and Sons, Willingboro high schoolers attended Burlington City High School. In 1960, Willingboro Junior-Senior High School opened so that local students could stay in district. In 1965, John F. Kennedy High School opened, and students were moved from this location. The school was eventually renamed the Abraham Levitt School, and the building has undergone a number of uses through the years. Please be careful of muggles when searching for this cache! Also, the grounds were recently landscaped--you do not need to trample through the mulch to find this cache. **Information from Carol Suplee's Stories of Willingboro Township, New Jersey
