Keel Mtn Trail. There are several other caches along the path.
Terrain is similar to Wade Mtn and uphill on the way in. It's worth
it to see the sink at the end.
It was a slow machine Kept the motor mostly clean One of the
weirdest creatures I had ever seen Had the sightless eyes Telling
me no lies Knockin' me out with those hardwood boughs Taking more
than its share Had me fighting for air Told me to come but I was
trying to get out of there OK, I'm not a song writer but now I've
got an earworm from the AC/DC song. Not that bad, considering. A
merry band of travelers, well more like a grumpy group of duffers
were tolling our way up the Keel Mtn Trail with several stops along
the way for one of the group to find the caches. Great excuse to
stop for a break! I had brought along a cache to place and when we
reached a point where the satellites all agreed that there was
plenty of room to place one the search was on for a likely spot.
Nice rock formations all around. An interesting old Ent suggested a
nearby area. Parrgolf was trying to be friendly and was discussing
the difference in metal vs. wood golf club heads when the Ent took
offense. Something about not calling his sister Big Bertha. In
haste, Cacheburns and I created an Inukshuk in the hopes that some
degree of protection would be given to the cache and future
travelers. When you find either of the two you are near the cache.
Please leave the area as you found it. Don't poke the Ent, I'm
pretty sure he's going to be sulking for some time and the Inukshuk
is a silent sentinel with no sense of direction.
