This small cache, full of little swaps and a FTF certificate, is in Wellesbourne. It is a click-lid box in a camouflage bag.
Although this a multi-cache, the entire walk is less than 0.5 mile and the route is suitable for children and even a buggy. Also, there is a wonderful bridge for 'Pooh Sticks'!
The name of this cache refers to the fact that to complete this cache you will need to walk between two pubs, both of which are ‘Heads’ – the King’s Head and the Stag’s Head! Great for a pre- and post-cache drink or lunch.
The coordinates given are not for the cache they are for parking, on Church Street, behind the King’s Head. Once there, walk through St. Peter’s churchyard to pick up Joseph Arch Way, a public footpath, which crosses the River Dene and leads you to the clue for the first half of the coordinates.
Find the object at N 52 11.791 W001 35.832
You will find a number 4 9 7 1 9 _ _
Subtract this two digit number from N 52 11.828 to discover the NORTH coordinates of the actual cache.
Then carry on walking along the footpath leading to Church Walk, which boasts several delightful old cottages and eventually the Stags Head. The clue to the second half of the actual co-ordinates is nearby.
You are looking for a date at N 52 11.649 W 001 35.753
When you find it subtract the four digit number from W 001 37.788 to find the WEST coordinates of the actual cache.
Get both those co-ordinates into your GPSr and just follow the arrow!
Hope you enjoy it!
Please note as this cache is in a village and involves walking past people’s houses I would very much appreciate it if you were careful not to cause any upset or concern. I would hate anyone to call the Police thinking they were about to be burgled!!
"First To Find" Award goes to sebapostol, who found it in the middle of the night!
Must be mad!
