A place to see some wildlife when they are feeding
On Mothers Day morning we decided that we wanted to go out and hide another cache in the area. The first spot we tried was all gated off and it would have been about a 10 mile hike in so we decided against that.
So, we headed out of town another way and came to a place that some may not know about. We have seen a heard of Elk in this field multiple times. It was set aside some time ago for animals to come feed in the winter months. I am sure you will be able to see other animals here as well, perhaps a deer or two.
It should be an easy find, so hopefully all that visit will see some wildlife to make it worth the trip. You will have to cross a small ditch and head up the grassy field to the cache location. Our GPS'r was bouncing around quite a bit when we placed it so if you come up with better coordinates let me know. Across from the parking there is an old barbed wire fence that has been run down but it is still about knee high and well concealed in the grass. Just be on the lookout for it once you cross the road from the parking
One final reminder. If you are fortunate enough to see some wild game, remember that they are wild and you should not try approaching them.
