Siulau susirinkus pakalbeti apie moli. Geoforum.lt diskusijose buvo
keliamos versijos, kad tam tikros rusies molis iskraipo GPS
palydovu siunciamu signalu kokybe ir itakoja navigaciniu
prietaiseliu tiksluma. Jei galesite, paasiimkite su savimi siek
tiek molio, paeksperimentuosime vietoje. Ziuresime, kieno molis
labiau kraipo parodymus, lyginsime ivairiu modeliu GPS imtuvelius
ir ju atsparuma skirtingiems moliams. I pabaiga galesim is moliu ka
nors nulipdyti. Nepamirskit keliauninku. Keisimes ir nusirasinesim.
Veiksmas vyks penktadieni, lapkricio 6, po darbu.
The main idea for the event is technical discussions. There are
some sorts of clay that is capable to interfere with satellite
signals and make you get lost in clay rich areas. What we are going
to do is to prove the theory or bust the myth. We need as many GPS
receivers as possible for the experiment and everybody is welcomed
to bring along some clay. Clay can be digged from under the snow,
scrubbed off tires, bought at the office gadget stores or whatever.
We will also try to form a trackable traveller (or a unique cache
container if we have enough matterial) from the clay we bring,
stick a tag and let it go see the world. Other than technical stuff
we will of course talk other geocaching related topics, share fun
stories, etc. The cache will start happenning on November 6 at
17:30 in Plento Baras. You can join anytime later till about 20:00.
No entrance fee, you pay for what you consume. We typically have
some snacks and a couple of beers or other beverages. Bring
trackables you possess to share with others and dispatch them in
right directions.
Terrain has been upgraded after the event due to limited space and
problems to immediately find the way to a restroom in case of
emergency from some locations behind the operating table.
