Geocache Description:

I encourage the finders of this nano to look south. You should see a row of yellow parking lot posts that lead to a brick wall that says Texarkana Arkansas Baseball Association. Near the sign a monument has been placed so all may remember. After replacing the nano. Please go to the monument and take a photo near the monument and upload. It would be an honor if this cache can collect a large number of blue ribbons so more people are able to learn a piece of Texarkana History

Lieutenant Worrell was shot and killed when he and another officer arrived on the scene of a burglary in progress at a store on North Stateline Avenue. As the officers exited their vehicle they were ambushed by a juvenile suspect with a rifle who was standing watch in the parking lot while his two accomplices robbed the store. Both officers were struck by gunfire and Lieutenant Worrell was fatally wounded. All three suspects were apprehended.
