ESTONIAN:
Lugu Pärnu muulidest saab alguse aastast 1764. Just sel ajal külastas Pärnut Vene keisrinna Katariina II. Praegusel kujul valmisid muulid 1864 aastaks.

Sellest ajast on muulid kujunenud Pärnu sümboliteks. Nähtavasti on muulid kohaks, kus päikeseloojangut nautides on kõige kergem võita armsama südant. Seega on muulid suure tõenäosusega Pärnu linna kõige romantilisemateks kohtadeks :)

ENGLISH:
The story about moles of Pärnu started in 1764 when Empress of Russia Catherine II visited the city of Pärnu. Local merchants demanded from Empress the agreement to develop harbour in Pärnu to evolve trade from Pärnu to Europe. They got the agreement and started developing harbour. The builders deepened the estuary of the river of Pärnu. Also was needed to build the mole to avoid sand movement. They collected stones from the coast and moved it in winter period by horses to the proper place on ice. Then they made a hole into the ice and moved the stone to the water. Existing moles were completed in 1864.

Since this the moles are symbol of Pärnu. Those two approximately two kilometres long rubble stone facilities are popular places among tourist and also among local inhabitants. Presumably are moles most perfect places where enjoying the sunset is most easily possible to win the heart of your love and enjoy the beauty of nature. Thus the moles are presumably most romantic places in Pärnu :)

Cache is situating at the place, which shows to the sailor way to home and is for them like the home gate. The difficulty of walking on mole and reaching to the cache depends about the weather condition and the period of the year. It could be extremely dangerous if the water level is high or there are very fast wind. But even in nice days there can be treacherous risks. The rocks are partially covered with seaweeds and it can be very slippery even when it is shining and rocks seems to be dry. If you are careless, then you can fall and get seriously injured. Thus these reasons you have to be very careful and consider the weather condition adequately. Don’t take any risks.

Near to the mole is possible to park your car and also is there bird watching tower where you can enjoy the view to the gulf of Pärnu and to the coastal meadow of Pärnu.

unfortunately DNF. the weather was convenient for such action, but the last ~70m this time was impassable — really very slippery rocks, and wrong shoes. will be back some day ;)

Märkasin minagi mingite vahemaade tagant kivisse raiutud rooma numbreid V kuni VIII, ilmselt on teisel muulil esindatud I kuni IV. Vahetasin rändureid. Tänud!
