Seattle's First Geocache Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team Misguided: It is with much regret that I must archive this cache. If you have not been following the discussion in the geocaching.com forums please check out my post here: http://forums.groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?s=&showtopic=177879&view=findpost&p=3269983

We were not able to come to an agreement that would allow the existing caches in Discovery Park to be reactivated. We left with a small glimmer of hope that some day, in the future this may change. One way to help us to show the park that we are serious about working with them will be to respect their wishes with regards to this particular park.

Please pick up your container as soon as possible and let me know if I can be of assistance in relocating it off park property.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Team Misguided

Geocache Description:

The above coordinates are in the middle of Elliott Bay. That's not where the cache is.

It's at the coordinates of the first geocache, long since archived, ever placed within the city limits of Seattle. In fact, it's in exactly the same hiding place. A little research, using resources of geocaching.com and possibly some waypoint manipulation software will get you the correct coordinates. The cache might be anywhere within the city, so don't count on limiting your research to a two mile radius around the published coordinates. I've stocked this box with some toys. Other than the log book, pen, and print-out of the original first cache, there is little of interest to adults.
