Inkpaduta Canoe Trail #10, Soo Access
In Iowa, United States
How Geocaching Works
You are looking for a BINO hidden Wonder Boy style.
Those who have found some of my other caches will understand.
The number in the cache corresponds to the reference number in
the brochure describing the Inkpaduta Canoe Trail throughout NW Iowa.
These are available from most of the county conservation
boards through which the Little Sioux flows.
Soo Access is State owned but maintained by Cherokee County.
Most of 16 acres is now on the east side of the river and only
accessible by canoe. There is limited access for a canoe to be
launched but it is possible.
The Little Sioux River is an excellent canoeing river, especially in
Cherokee County. I know because I have canoed most of it. The
Little Sioux also has an excellent catfish population. Also much
wildlife is located near the river. There are also a number of other
caches located along the little Sioux in different parks, or near them,
in most of the counties the Little Sioux Flows through. There is quite a
history associated with Inkpaduta along the Little Sioux River and
other places that he “visited”. For more information check out
“Inkpaduta’s Revenge”. Many thanks to the Cherokee County
Conservation Board for approving the placement of this series of
caches. Also please remember “CITO”.
Although the cache is very close to the parking lot, this area may
be very wet after a rain so plan accordingly and BYOWU.
