This cache was placed as a part of the Great Eastlink Geocache
Project. The Project involved 25 Geocaching Teams from the Eastern
Suburbs of Melbourne who combined their efforts in July 2008 to
create the largest cache series in Australia in which each cache in
the series is individually owned by one team.
About the
Location
Both Chesterfield Farm and the southern entrance to Jells Park are
in close proximity to this cache and both provide BBQ and toilet
facilities although you will need to pay an admission fee to enter
Chesterfield farm.
About the
Cache
On the day the cache was placed it was difficult to spy out a
location as the trail seemed to have a steady procession of people
either Jogging or riding their bikes along the trail. It seems to
be a very popular spot so you will need to keep an eye out when
looking for the cache.
The Cache is Micro container that contains a log book and pencil
only. There is room for very small swaps if you wish to leave
them.
Parking could be difficult as the cache is on part of the
Eastlink Trail that run along western side of the Tollway.
The cache can be accessed by walking or riding a bike along the
trail or you can park on Ferntree Gully road and walk the 100 or so
meters to the cache.
