Nice view point on a peninsula protruding into the lake.
Eymir Gölü (Eymir Lake) is located in Gölbasi district of Ankara. Due to the distance of the city it is far from the crowds and noise. The land belongs to the Middle East Technical University. The perimeter of the lake is 13 kilometres and the lake area is of 1.25 square kilometres. The deepest point of the lake is 6 meters, the average depth is 3.1 meters. Eymir Lake is a result of tectonic subsidence, where the accumulation of silt brought by rivers formed a lake as a result.
The inhabitants of Ankara use this area for leisure: hiking, picnic, boating and fishing.
The other caches around the lake introduce the area from the shores of the lake. With this cache we wanted to show you a beautiful view point in the middle of the lake, from where the entire area of the lake can be seen.
