Leptoceratops: Hello!
I'm archiving your cache as it has been disabled for more than a one month and it is lost or completely damaged. Usually caches are visited and maintained within 30 days after disabling.
If you wish to unarchive your cache then please contact me using GC code or link of this cache.

If there are still leftovers from container I would appreaciate if other players could collect them so that there are no trash in the nature.

Geocache Description:

"Hillforts are the best known and the most beautiful archaelogical monuments in Lithuania. The number of known hillforts is close to one thousand…"

Stirniai hillfort in 2006:

Stirniai Hillfort in 2009 (undressed):

"The hillfort as a defensive facility, contains two basic elements, i.e. the fortified locus itself and its fortifications. The fortified locus is the levelled summit of the hilltop. It was arranged on the summit of a mound. The levelled summit was enclosed by earth fortifications, which include ramparts, ditches, terraces and slopes, as well as wood fortifications, which include various fences, barriers, towers and walls. Only earth fortifications have survived until today. They usually consisted of several lines. Apart from the main rampart and ditch there used to be one or a few lines of additional smaller ramparts and shallow ditches…"

Radioamateurs may find it an interesting spot to operate their short wave radios from VI88 that refers to Stirniai Hillfort for a LHFA HAM RADIO AWARD

The hillfort is well over 1000 years old, the other name for the hillfort is Aukstasis Kalnas. People say some Napoleon fighters found their eternal rest place up on top. There used to be a large wooden fortress, but archaelogists have yet to determine the circumstances of how and when it was destroyed.

The coords provided are only approximate. As with all my hides I try to do as much sampling as possible, but seldom get a professional precision. Don't expect to find the cache exactly at the numbers your GPSr reads. Other than plainly logging "off coords" please add your version of correct coords, this will make your entry useful both for cache owner and other seekers. Appreciate your cooperation.

Initially the cache is preloaded with some swag you'll need to build your own caches. There are some other gadgets too, the Canon S60 Digital Camera is not in working condition, I was told the processor board heats up after the unit is ON, but the camera may serve as a donor for other similar to repair since optical and moving mechanical parts aren't damaged. The contents are secured inside a regular ammo box:
