The Barn Quilt Trail features large patchwork quilt blocks painted on plywood and hung on the sides of barns, other farm buildings, municipal buildings and schools. Each quilt depicts some aspect of the life and times of George Ward, founder of Wardsville in the early 1800s, and his wife, including Ward’s involvement in the War of 1812.
