Are You On The Winning Team? Cache In Trash Out Event

Here's your chance to settle an age-old debate, have some fun, do something great for the environment, earn a coveted CITO icon for your profile page, and work off some of that holiday fudge!

Show up at the posted coordinates on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. Bring gloves and any tools you might want to use for picking up litter. Garbage bags will be supplied.

Then, choose your team -- Team Garmin or Team Magellan. Geocachers who use both brands of GPSrs may pick their team, but may not sabotage the other team's efforts!

We'll work until 11:30 or so to clean up the section of dike from the posted coordinates to the location of another nearby cache about 1/4 mile away.

When the junk has been collected and piled up, the team with the larger pile will be declared the undisputed winner, once and for all. The decision of the judges will be final

Afterwards, anyone that would like to can head to the nearby Denny's just east of I-5 for a no-host lunch and bragging rights!

This will be a great time to get together, meet other local geocachers, and clean up a little piece of the beautiful Stillaguamish River, so mark your calendars now! Please post a "will attend" note and let us know which team you will be supporting so we can make plans for cleanup supplies, hot chocolate, and maybe a prize or two.
