Another place along the Pone Express route.
This is a nice 13 mile drive off of state route 50 on a dirt road to a ranch. There is an intersection with two poles noting where the pony express went through. I'm amazed at how many remote locations have these markers. The ammo can is about 500 feet up a hill and you can see both poles, plus the Roberts Creek Ranch. Swag, a TB and FTF $ await you.
