Kaakon suunnasta saavutaan Nivalaan valtatietä 27 Haapajärveltä (Savontie). Kaakosta päin keskustaa lähestyttäessä näkyy oikealla mm. ravirata, ajoharjoitteluradasto, 18-väyläinen golfkenttä ja Teollisuuskylä. Teollisuuskylässä on noin 70 eri teollisuus- ja palvelualojen yritystä ja noin 1000 työpaikkaa.
Teollisuuskylän sivuilta: Nivalassa korkea teknologia, tehokas tuotanto ja perinteinen maatalous elävät sulavasti rinnakkain. Uskallamme rohkeasti verrata itseämme Texasiin ja todeta: "Nivalassa kaikella on hieman suuremmat mittakaavat".

When approaching the centre of Nivala from SE you can see a harness racing track, a place for driving practice, a golf course and the industrial centre.
