I have been working with the Chamber of Commerce to encourage community members and visitors to explore our beautiful county. Geocachers know that we find many interesting places in our travels and the Chamber of Commerce wanted to provide a guide to take us to some places we may not have ever seen. There are some new caches along the trail and many existing caches that you will definitely want to get as you travel from location to location.
The event will be held at the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce, 801 Cedar Bluff Road, Building A, Centre, Alabama at 10:00 am until 12:00 noon.
The agenda for the morning will include a Geocaching 101 class as well as learning the details of the geo-tour. I'll be sharing information, tips, and tricks for completing the geo-tour. The Chamber of Commerce will be furnishing refreshments and welcomes all geocachers and muggles alike! Join us in helping to promote the sport of geocaching in Cherokee County as we spread the news to local members of our community and visitors to our fair land.
