Geocache Description:

Congrats to rbrej6201 for FTF!

This cache placement theory isn't very unique but I think my Container idea is. You'll find out when you get to it. This is an easy Park and Grab Micro.

If you view this one on the Google Maps or Google Earth before you get here, you'll notice that things have changed a Lot since then. What you see in Google is the old Department Store lot empty, and the old Grocery Store lot fairly full. This is not what you'll find here today.

What used to be the Grocery Parking lot (where the cache is located) is now empty and the New Grocery is where the old Department store used to be a few years back. For a short time a new Office supply store was here, but it's closed already. That's why I feel comfortable placing this one here.

I moved into this area back in 1978 and I remember when None of this was here. Perhaps some local cachers around will also remember how things have been building up over the years. The locals who remember the department store move will also recall the recent discount store move. My how things change, huh?

For the non locals, this will just be another P&G for ya. Still, I hope you enjoy the cache. Especially the Container. BYOP.

Update 3-28-10. Original Container was vandalized and the log sheet was no longer protected from moisture.

Container Replaced. Not as much fun now, but the cache is still alive and ready for the hunt.

Have fun, and Happy Caching! I have a Forum set up for Local Cachers to visit and chat with us. Please visit us at Kankakee County Cachers and Campers
