Hello Gillette, Wyoming. It has been over a year since our club has
gotten together to meet all the new cachers in the area as well as
visit with old friends. So . . . another Greet & Grub is
underway. Club members will provide all the fixins for hamburgers
and hot dogs as well as plates/utensils. We are asking that
everyone bring a side dish or dessert. The afternoons events will
consist of greetin, eatin, and giving out the prize for the best
poker hand. Best poker hand you say.... well...this is going to be
a little harder than whipping up a side dish and will definitely
take much longer :o}}} I will place five temporary caches out prior
to the get-together. The 1st cache location will be posted on this
page the morning of July 20th (9:00a.m.ish) and will come down the
next morning (9:00a.m.ish). The 2nd cache location will be posted
on this page the morning of July 21st and will come down the next
morning. . . . and so on. You will need to take one item from each
cache you locate. At the event you will be able to draw a poker
card for each item you have. If you miss the posting of a cache,
you will still be able to play poker, you will just have less
cards. If you are interested in geocaching, new to the game, or a
veteran cacher, please plan on attending to share information and
meet everyone! There are many new cachers in the Gillette area. We
hope to see you here.... If you have any questions, please e-mail
me at the Camel Cacher’s Club e-mail link ~ dblrngr . . . . .

August 10, 2009 by dblrngr (181 found) Had great time visiting with the new and old cachers alike. I was surprised to see people from out of town, but it sure was nice! I think I will be traveling to Sheridan to Help Kenny out one of these days as well as trying to get to Montana for Cheri & Don's event. I will try and get some pictures of the "# of find" awards posted as well as some group shots. I had a grand time. Hope to see everyone in October as nene&pat, cat2 and munke might try and get a club event going. Good Luck Geocaching Amuck - dblrngr

July 25, 2009 by Elk hunter & Mickey Mouse (2430 found) Thanks for the event. It was sure nice to meet everyone. The food was great and the conversation more so. After 3 dnf's in a row we weren't sure we could find the event. Maybe now with a full tummys we will do better. We had a great time. Hope to run into all of you again in our caching travels.
