INDIANA SPIRIT
QUEST #161
”To
the Back of Center"
Welcome to the Centerton Cemetery, Clay
Township, Morgan County. This cemetery is located directly
off of State Road 67 in beautiful downtown Centerton. The older
section of the graveyard is at the back and features stones from
the 1850's. It is a typical drive-in style graveyard. Be careful of
muddy condtioins after a rain. Cemetery is very well maintained.
Let's keep it that way.
The pictured gravemarker is another tree trunk
style, somewhat popular in this area. .
Unlike the pointing finger symbology commonly seen
northeast of Indianapolis, this stone features a hand showing four
fingers. What could that mean?
The cache
container is is a small bottle with a blue lid. Please
leave it at least as well concealed, if not better, than you
found it. If you find the coordinates to be a little
off, do not hesitate to post a waypoint with your log.
There are US flags decorating graves of veterans. Bring
a new flag or two and replace the weathered flags as
appropriate. As always, be respectful, and cache in, trash
out. God Bless our troops in harm's
way.
WARNING: FIND LOGS ON THIS CACHE THAT INDICATE
NIGHT CACHING WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT
NOTICE!
