Geocache Description:

Where: Maple Grove Arboretum

When: Sunday September 23rd from 8-9:30 AM(I will be there at 7AM) - I like to do these before church!!!

Why: Cache in Trash Out Week and to get more caches.

What: Picking up trash along the trails around this man made resevoir.

How: With your hands, wagons, grabbers, and smiles.

This lake is the home to a few caches and some tough challenges located on the south end of the lake. We will start at the Maple Grove Arboretum at 7-8 AM and go until +/-9:30. I will provide some sort of breakfast options, donuts or pastry, along with Coffee. Bring your own cup if you love the earth, otherwise I will have some available too. There are caches to the North and to the south along the pathways. Bikes, wagons, scooters, and any other vehicles are welcome. I will have an award for the most interesting trash.

The First Plastics(Polystyrene) was invented in 1839. So in less than 200 years we have taken plastics and created a floating plastic junkpile in the ocean and it is a problem in our inland lakes too. So help us clean around this inland resevoir! I will be at the parking lot for the Maple Grove Arboretum at 7 AM trash bags will be available and we will leave the trash at containers at this lot.

Elements of a Good CITO'r

1. I like to have a grabber. A mechanical hand that limits how many times I need to bend over and I can avoid touching the trash!

2. A bucket. A great way to collect the trash without worry that your bag will break.

3. A good Attitude. It is fun and gratifying to clean things up especailly the areas that we often cache in.

4. A group. It is always more fun to clean with a group.

5. At least a couple of caches. It is always nice to break up a CITO day picking up some caches.
