Geocache Description:

This is a great cache for bringing the younger set, especially if you travel 169 to the Mille Lacs Lake area. The walk off the mowed grass is short, but a bike will not pass the tree line. The cache is an orange plastic thermos. No need to cross any fences or go more than 1/2 way through the tree line. Please park on public property.

Hello and welcome to this Geocache! It was started by ANDY15980 and grandkids. For more information about the albino deer living in this area, visit Father Hennepin State Park in Isle, Minnesota, on the South East side of Lake Mille Lacs. They have a great beach for fun and picnics on the lake as well as good fishing! For more fun, climb the fire tower in Mille Lacs Kathio State Park, on the west side of Lake Mille Lacs. It has quite a view of the area. The parks share a 10-person voyageur style canoe that they occasionally take out with visitors willing to paddle. While looking for the cache, you may observe large rocks deposited by glaciers, Dogwood trees with their ghost leaves that stick together when torn, a fungus on wild fruit trees like black cherry called dead man’s fingers. Please CITO. Garbage cans are near by. Thanks for stopping, we hope you enjoyed this cache and hope you have fun in this beautiful part of Minnesota.
