This is an other cache
of our bunker serie, which includes L'oscurita,
Punto di vista,
Cascata and Bonus-Rock.
We
found the first bunker accidentally at a stop on a trip to Udine,
exploring it gave a frowning thrill and recalled the martial past
of Europe. We realized, that there are a lot of bunkers built in
rock on the valley side of the tagliamento.
The cache shows you an old bunker, belonging to a system of
fortifications along the Italian northern frontier. The
„Vallo Alpino“ was built by the Italians in the years
leading up to World War II and reached from from Ventimiglia in the
west to Fiume in the east.
Cause there was little use of the fortificationline during WWII the
bunkers are in good shape.
For the cache you need a very good torch and a good sense of
orientation.
The coordinates send you to the
cache but a closen door will stop you. The cache is on the other
side of the door, so you have to find the second door or an other
entrance to get in. There is no need to go to the closen door from
outside cause its very close to the street and there is a lot of
traffic!!!!
On the other side of the street is another small bunker.
Please, don`t disturb anything!
At the front side of the logbook is a number (N=?). Notice
the number, maybe you will need it one day.
