UPDATE 1/20/13: DEMOLITION OF THE BOARDWALK IS ABOUT HALFWAY DONE.
DUE TO HURRICANE SANDY THIS CACHE WAS SWEPT AWAY WITH THE BOARDWALK BECAUSE OF THE RECORD 20' STORM SURGE. SOME OF THAT DEBRIS ENDED UP AT MY HOUSE. TO ALL WHO SUFFERED LOSSES DUE TO THE STORM OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU.
Long Beach: City by the Sea. You can find the cache along the boardwalk between Lindell and Washington Blvds. It should be any easy park, walk, and find.
There is a fee from Memorial Day until Labor Day to get on the beach, but access to the boardwalk is free to the public year-round. Surfing is also permitted at certain locations. Parking can be an issue on summer weekends, but even then can usually be found within a few blocks of the boardwalk.
The cache is a magnetic keyholder with a log. Please BYOP. Stealth is essential during busy summer days!! Enjoy!
