Bandore Park - Down-Easter Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Starkacher: This was my second longest surviving geocache. It was coming up on 10 years old. Unfortunately the park appears to be clearing all the trees and while they have not cleared all the trees in this part of the park yet, they did clear a path along the creek and in the process smashed the stump and the cache container that was in it. I recovered what was left.

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the City of Toledo Bandore Park.    This is continuing my series of caches highlighting City of Toledo Parks. This park is a strip of land between Bandore and Paisley roads. The main part of the park is along Paisley road. This is a quiet little park with an open field, a couple of picnic tables, a stream, and some woods.  It is basically part of the flood plain for the creek.

Suggested parking is just off the side of Paisley Road near Eileen Road (see waypoint). Don't walk from the suggested parking area straight to the cache or you will get wet crossing the creek. Walk along the street to Bancroft and then down Bandore Rd. Please do not park along Bandore road as this may lead to suspicion by the residents of the dead end street. The area where the cache is hidden can become very muddy if there has been rain recently. There is also some Poison Ivy scattered about. The park is open during daylight hours only (no night caching).

FYI: Definitions: (These have nothing to do with how the cache is hidden)
Bandore: An obsolete large long-necked plucked string musical instrument resembling a guitar.
