This site is right next to the Missouri River in Sioux City, Iowa. There are concrete paths on level ground.
This is one of a string of Lewis and Clark caches along the Iowa and Nebraska borders of the Missouri River. This cache was placed with permission of the land owner and local help on the cache placement and lid contents.
It is fun to watch the river ripple past and imagine what Lewis and Clark would think about the changes that have been made since their visit. There is a large play area for children, ramp and marina for boats, visitor's center, Sgt. Floyd museum and more. The mouth of the Floyd River and the Floyd Monument are not far away to the south.
Update 9-5-2012: Original cache owner, The Three Amigos, can no longer care for the cache. Ownership was transferred to GeoJudt to keep it going for years to come.
