This cache is along a series of hiking/riding trails in North Poway. Ruby and her buddy Hershey get very excited when we head toward this trail, they love swimming in the creeks when they aren’t dried up. It starts off with a mild climb, then stays fairly level. It’s a multi-cache with 3 stops for riddles whose answers will lead you to a regular size cache. Plan on at least
1½ hrs. to complete this quest.
We’ve started this cache hunt at Painted Rock Elementary School’s West parking lot so you’ll get the most enjoyment out of the loop trip we’ve designed. Of course you’ll have to park on the street if you come on a weekday, but that’s OK. The coordinates for the parking lot are N 33 00.945 and W 117 02.435. *The trail starts at the far end of the parking lot.
The first clue can be found at the posted coordinates above. There you will find Riddle #1, written directions to guide you to the next riddle, and the coordinates of the next riddle. They will be hidden in appropriately camouflaged containers in plain sight.
There will be clues to the riddles at the 3rd stop. Hopefully you won’t have to use them, but we wouldn’t want you to go home frustrated. You might want paper and pencil to write stuff down. Enjoy!
