“And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is
sitting On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,
And the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the
floor; And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the
floor Shall be lifted - nevermore!”
Mrs. Fresgo’s favorite poem is Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven.” It
is appropriate given how many times she tells me “Nevermore,
Nevermore!” In fact, she is saying it to me now as I type this.
Anyway, the Raven may be a mystical character in American
Literature but makes for an interesting cache.
Some may say this raven is a crow, others may say it is a magpie
- unless you are a bird watcher or ornithologist, you may not care
either way. Just don’t park your car under the cache unless you
want to clean up after “The Bird.” Oh I forgot you can’t park that
close near the cache. You can only park across the street from the
coordinates.
