A quick easy peasy roadside micro
Welcome to Raby Mere - the largest watery type place in Wirral.

Raby Mere was formed in ancient times when water millers dammed the River Dibbin.

Today it is home to lots of ducks, swans and plenty of fish!

The mere is private property now, although this section is close to the road, and visitors are welcome to come and "Feed The Ducks!"

Up until around 20 years ago, you could hire a small rowing boat, and mess about on the water... today the mere is owned and managed by an anglng club.

I can remember as a very small child, mum walking my sister and I here to feed the ducks!

Don't forget to take some bread for the hungry duckies!

You'll need to be super stealthy - this is a popular location, and the tree cover will cause numerous problems!
